Reno Wrap....

9/30/2015

In her first futurity ever, Katy Warner and her mare Goosen Ya ended the week 7th in the Non Pro Limited Futurity. Daphne is her first Snaffle Bit horse and it has been a great time coaching and watching her grow. Looking forward to this team next year in the aged events.

Dylan Sponseller and her new horse Drop Kick Cat had a fall down the fence to knock them out of contention, but this is going to be a tough team in the future.

Congratulations to all the fellow competitors and hope to see you all in Idaho in a few weeks.

What a great way to start the stressful two weeks of the SBF. We had lots of fellow competitors here at the house this weekend putting the final touches on their horses and enjoying the cool mornings and fresh cattle here in Klamath Falls. The trailers all pulled out this weekend headed for the 2015 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity. We want to wish everyone showing in Reno the best of luck. Our Non Pro's will start showing out of the herd on Wednesday and Reining will be Thursday. Best of luck to Kate Warner showing Goosen Ya, a mare by Starlight Captain that we raised, in the Nop Pro Limited, and to Dylan Sponseller, showing Drop Kick Cat, a gelding by Cats Moonshine, that was purchased from Wade Reaney. It's going to be a great week. Ride hard and watch those cows.......

NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Countdown is on......

The countdown to the NRCHA futurity in Reno is really hitting home now. In 19 days we will be in Reno ready to show. This year Brandon does not have a futurity horse for the first time in years, but his Non Pro's will be ready to represent the brand. Dylan Sponseller on her new gelding Drop Kick Cat will be showing in the Non Pro Divisions and Amateur. Kate Warner will be showing, Goosen Ya,  one of the few Starlight Captain foals we have been blessed with, in the Non Pro Limited. This 16 year old has worked incredibly hard this summer, coming to Klamath Falls from Lakeview 4 days a week and is proving that such great dedication and hard work is worth the effort. This is going to be a fun team to watch for sure. Best of luck to everyone getting ready for Reno.
